Roundtable on Ending Violence Against Women: The Istanbul Convention and beyond

Gender5+ is engaged in the organisation of a roundtable on Violence Against Women to take place in November 2016. At a crucial moment when the Istanbul Convention is being ratified, including by the EU, a research conducted for G5+ by Teresa Freixes, Professor of Constitutional Law, Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), Jean Monnet Chair ad personam, Director of the UAB Equality Observatory, Director of the UAB Centre on Human Rights Studies, Member of the Royal European Academy of Doctors, will look into all existing legal provisions , including the EU Treaties to effectively end all forms of violence against women.
